Elizabeth Porter Historic Monument, Art, and Murals Committee
The Elizabeth Porter Historic Monument, Art, and Murals Committee is a citizen committee created by City Council in Fall 2015 to document the history of the site as a recreation center and African-American hospital and their roles within the surrounding African American community.
Committee Projects have included the following:
- muralist selection and mural design
- sculptor selection and sculpture design
- fundraising for sculpture and additional enhancement within the park.
Individuals interested in donating to additional improvements in the park are encouraged to view the attached flyer. For updates on Elizabeth Porter Park progress and images of proposed artwork, visit our Elizabeth Porter Park Page.
